Barcelona in Flames — The Spanish Civil War Foretold

Fulfilled
1880 AD — Turin, Italy
In one of his most vivid prophetic dreams, St. John Bosco declared: 'I see Barcelona in flames.' This vision, given decades before the Spanish Civil War, was remarkably fulfilled in 1936–1939 when Barcelona became a center of revolutionary violence — churches and convents were set on fire, priests and nuns were martyred, and the city was repeatedly bombed during the conflict. Thousands of clergy were killed and hundreds of churches burned across Catalonia. Don Bosco's vision is considered one of the clearest examples of his prophetic gift being fulfilled to the letter.
